Sonny Clark
Born 1931, Sonny early learnt to play the piano, deeply influenced by Bud Powell. He then was regarded as a typical hard bop pianist. Seven recordings issued by the Blue Note label with John Coltrane, Art Farmer, Paul Chambers, Buddy deFranco and others. During his short life, Sonny was a demanded sideman. He passed away in 1963.
