Jürgen Grimm
Jürgen Grimm was born in 1969 in Memmingen/Germany. Early as a teenager he won the first prize of the competition "Jugend musiziert" in the section church organ. 1990, he began to study at the Musikhochschule in Köln in the section jazz and popular music. He attended the lessons of Rainer Brüninghaus and Frank Wunsch.
 
Since 1995, Grimm is lecturer in jazz piano at the college for music in Brühl/Germany.
 
Jürgen's career is mainly based on the jazz piano. Since 1994, he is a member of the Bob Brookmeyer New Art Orchestra. He made various tours with well known jazz artists like Till Brönner, the Susan Weinert Band, the Bobby Burgess Big Band, the Schickentanz Quintett, Franco Ambrosetti, Silvia Droste and many more. Also, he was featured on a CD production of Lalo Schifrin and Bob Brookmeyer.
 
In August 2001, Grimm discovered his early love for the church organ. He then took part in the contest "Jazz on the church organ" held in Hannover, and won the second prize.
